Leprechaun demonstrates that scary films can be amusing

It's a good thing Leprechaun is bad. The plot, acting, and special effects are all absurd. Everything comes together to form a great film. Warwick Davis is fantastic as the leprechaun, while Jennifer Aniston excels in her feature film debut. Watch Leprechaun if you like campy horror films. Don't expect to feel scared; instead, expect to laugh.

Warwick Davis' iconic depiction of an enraged leprechaun has entered the realm of urban legend. As the video progresses, the leprechaun begins to suspect that a human family has taken his pot of gold. He decides to go on a quest for them and uses all of his wits and might to do so. In the meanwhile, the family is franticly looking for the gold so they may appease the leprechaun and avoid any damage. Leprechaun is one of the finest horror movies of all time because to Davis's terrifying and memorable performance.

Davis added a comedic element to his portrayal, despite the fact that the film Leprechaun was supposed to be more of a straightforward horror thriller.



Dan O'Grady returns to North Dakota after visiting his hometown Ireland in 1983. After burying the treasure, O'Grady discovers that the leprechaun killed his wife. O'Grady catches the leprechaun with a four-leaf clover. He died before he could burn him.

In 1983, Dan O'Grady traveled to Ireland, the country of his origin, and while there, he abducted a leprechaun and stole the pot of gold that he was guarding. He then returned to his home in North Dakota. After O'Grady buried the wealth, he came to the conclusion that the evil leprechaun had followed him back to his house and murdered his wife. With the use of a clover with four leaves, O'Grady is able to control the leprechaun's skills and confine him inside a container. He had a stroke just in time to stop him from setting him on fire.

J. D. Redding and his daughter Tory rent the O'Grady home ten years later. Nathan Murphy, Alex, 10, and Ozzie Jones help paint the home. Ozzie misidentifies the leprechaun's screams for help as a child. Using an ancient four-leaf clover, he frees the leprechaun. Ozzie learns from the leprechaun that he's an Irish shoemaker seeking his fortune in America. Ozzie sees a rainbow after failing to convince others he saw a leprechaun, hoping to find a pot of gold. Alex follows Ozzie because he could hurt himself. Before Ozzie, 100 gold coins appear magically. They conceal the riches in an ancient well after Ozzie swallows a coin to mend his brain.

J. D. gets tricked by a leprechaun on the farm into walking into a trap by the leprechaun posing as a cat and biting his hand, causing him pain. After Tory and the others have brought the leprechaun to the hospital, he rides away on a three-wheeled bicycle. When Alex and Ozzie proceed to a pawn shop to determine the authenticity of the gold, the leprechaun kills the store's proprietor, Joe, for stealing his gold, and then polishes Joe's shoes before fleeing the scene. When the leprechaun was on his way back to the farm, he decided to build himself a go-kart but was pulled over by the police officer because he was going too fast. The officer is chased by the leprechaun into the woods, where the leprechaun eventually takes his life at the hands of the officer. The leprechaun returns to the farm and begins searching for his treasure while also polishing the shoes of everyone he encounters. After accompanying J. D. to the medical facility, the group makes their way back to the farmhouse. When Nathan goes outside to investigate after discovering that it has been plundered, he is hurt by a bear trap that was placed by a leprechaun. Outside, the mob launches an assault on the leprechaun and begins to beat him with rocks and clubs.

At the nursing home, a leprechaun impersonates O'Grady. As Tory runs, the Leprechaun pursues him to an elevator and dumps O'Grady's corpse down. O'Grady informs her before he dies that the only way to kill a leprechaun is with a four-leaf clover, which grows outside the property. Tory returns to the farmhouse in search of a clover, but is attacked by the leprechaun. Nathan and Ozzie come to her aid. Leprechaun is severely hurt while attempting to get the last gold coin, which Ozzie consumes. Alex binds Tory's four-leaf clover to gum and throws it into the leprechaun's mouth, melting him before he kills Ozzie. Despite falling into a well, the leprechaun's skeleton exclaims, "I want my gold." Nathan fires both with gasoline after pushing the leprechaun down the well. Tory is reconciled with her father, marries Nathan, and has a child when the cops come. As police investigate the well's wreckage, the Leprechaun promises to reclaim all of his money.

At the nursing home, the leprechaun acts like he is O'Grady. Tory is followed by the leprechaun to an elevator. As Tory runs away, the leprechaun throws O'Grady's bloody body down the elevator shaft. Before he dies, O'Grady tells her that the only way to kill the leprechaun is with a four-leaf clover, which grows in a big patch just outside the farm. Tory goes back to the farmhouse to look for a clover. The leprechaun attacks her, but Nathan and Ozzie come to her rescue. The leprechaun gets seriously hurt when he tries to get the last gold coin, which Ozzie admits he ate. Tory found a four-leaf clover, which Alex ties to a wad of gum and fires into the leprechaun's mouth. The leprechaun melts away before he can kill Ozzie. Even though the leprechaun's skeleton fell down the well, it gets out and says, "I want my gold." After Nathan gets the leprechaun horror movie review to go back into the well, he lights both objects on fire with gasoline. When the police show up, Tory is reunited with her father, marries Nathan, and has a child with him. While the police look through the wreckage of the well, the leprechaun says he won't stop until he finds all of his money.

The Leprechaun travels to Los Angeles in pursuit of more riches in the sequel, Leprechaun 2, which was released the following year. Leprechaun 4: In Space is a break from the other films in the series since it is set on a spacecraft and the Leprechaun fights aliens. It is well knowledge that George Lucas helped cast Warwick Davis in Willow. Less well-known is the reason behind this. Davis was apparently under contract with Lucas, and Lucas had to grant Davis permission to participate in the film. Due to his contributions, he received a "special thanks" credit at the conclusion of the film. This little-known truth makes the film much more intriguing for aficionados of horror films. Initially, the leprechaun was intended to return to Ireland. However, there was a problem: the Irish actor portraying the leprechaun, Warwick Davis, lacked a work visa. In order to shoot the last sequence, Davis was required to secure a visa within three days, which is normally impossible. Fortunately, Vice President Dan Quayle's administration was able to expedite the procedure, allowing Davis to complete shooting on time. Quayle earned a "special thanks" credit at the conclusion of the film for his contributions.

Warwick Davis was beginning to regret producing the film, but because Anniston's later success on TV, many people rented it, and it led to a long series of sequels. It is claimed that it was one of Warwick's personal favorites.
